Product Description
Purified Terephthalic acid(PTA), with the molecular formula C8H6O4, is an organic compound and the most abundant dicarboxylic acid. It is solid at room temperature. It does not melt when heated and sublimates above 300ºC. If heated in a closed container, it can melt at 427°C. Terephthalic acid is a raw material for the production of polyester, especially polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
