SH-SD-103 tunnel fireproof coating is developed by the China Fire Research Institute. After years of practical development and improvement, the formula has gradually been improved. This coating forms a thick and dense fire insulation layer in case of fire, with remarkable fire resistance performance, and has excellent physical and chemical properties such as fast drying, moisture resistance, freeze thaw resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, etc. Its thin coating, flat surface, and good decorative effect are suitable for fire protection of various walls, especially concrete walls.

Construction method:
1. Construction equipment: sand coating mixer, extrusion grouting pump, air compressor, coating, cleaning, transportation tools, etc.
2. Construction preparation: (1) Setting up scaffolding
(2) Electricity and water supply
(3) Remove floating dust and oil stains from the surface of tunnel concrete, and moisten with water
(4) The uneven surface needs to be repaired, and the particularly smooth concrete surface needs to be plastered with mortar
(5) The leaking area needs to be repaired for waterproofing.
3. Base surface treatment
A. The oil stains left on the surface during the demolding process of tunnel lining should be thoroughly cleaned by the tunnel construction unit with diesel or specialized degreaser;
B. Before spraying construction, the floating dust on the surface of the structure must be removed, mainly targeting the areas with severe dust accumulation within a height range of 2 meters on both sides of the side walls;
C. Wash the overall base interface with clean water 24 hours before spraying construction to remove floating ash, dust, and dirt on the surface.
D. Considering that the construction joint of the tunnel is a concentration point of "stress deformation", often due to the untimely and incomplete cutting of the construction joint of the fireproof coating, it is prone to common quality problems such as hollowing and cracking of the fireproof coating. Based on similar engineering practice construction experience, it is recommended to apply the concrete special interface agent produced by Huili Company within a 30cm range on both sides of the construction joint after washing the base interface with clean water during construction to enhance the bonding strength between the coating and the base layer.
4. Tunnel fireproof coating coating
According to the technical requirements of GB28375-2012 Fire resistant Coatings for Concrete Structures, with a fire resistance limit of ≥ 2.0 hours, spraying construction is adopted, and four layers of spraying are considered. The construction design of fire-resistant coatings for urban passage tunnels considers the influence of vibrations such as cars and trains on their structure. In order to improve the bonding strength and integrity of the coatings, reinforcement (mesh) treatment schemes are usually adopted.
A. Construction of pasting insulation nails and hanging nets: Use mixed glue to paste insulation nails onto the surface of concrete. The construction spacing of insulation nails is about 25cm, and the steel wire mesh should be laid flat. The size of the steel wire mesh should be 0.6mm/1 inch. The construction requires the steel wire mesh to be laid flat, without bulging or rebounding.
B. Surface Primer (1st layer): This coating is prepared with a special adhesive to form a base material, with a ratio of 3:1:2 (weight ratio). The coating is mixed with a special adhesive and water in a low-speed mixer for 5-8 minutes. The mixture is allowed to stand still for 5 minutes (preferably evenly mixed). Then, the coating is sent to the extrusion equipment for spraying, and the spraying thickness should not exceed 3mm.
In response to issues such as bulging and rebounding of local steel wire mesh after bottom coating spraying, technical measures such as flattening and trimming should be taken to ensure that the steel wire mesh is flat and does not expose the bottom.
C. Intermediate coating spraying (2nd to 3rd layers): After the surface of the base material is dry, it can be applied. The surface coating ratio is: water=1:1 (weight ratio), stir in a low-speed mixer for 5-8 minutes, let it stand for about 5 minutes (preferably with even material mixing), and then send the coating to the extrusion equipment for spraying. During construction, spraying should be carried out in two stages, with a thickness controlled between 6-8mm each time.
D. Surface coating spraying (4th layer): The surface coating ratio is the same as that of the intermediate coating. At the same time, to ensure the overall thickness, uniformity, and appearance of the coating, during the surface coating fireproof coating spraying construction, the nozzle diameter and pressure are adjusted to control the smoothness of the coating, and the height difference between particles should not exceed 3mm, so as to make the coating appear as a uniform granular surface and enhance the sound absorption effect of the tunnel structure.
(3) Tunnel fireproof coating decorative topcoat coating
After the fireproof coating has basically dried and formed (usually with an interval of about 7 days), the surface decorative topcoat can be applied. The decorative topcoat material is "acrylic emulsion paint" produced by Shanghai Huili Company. When using, an appropriate amount of water can be added depending on the construction method. After stirring evenly, it can be used. Roll coating, brush coating, and spraying methods can be used for construction. It is recommended to use an airless spraying machine for spraying, which requires uniform color and no obvious color difference. (Note: The paint color sample shall be provided by our Huili Company or the national standard color card.)

Construction precautions
(1) The mixed material should be used up within 30 minutes. The construction temperature should be above 5 ºC, and the wind speed should not exceed 5 meters/s.
(2) During construction, the next layer can only be applied after the first layer has dried (approximately 6 hours). The second layer (surface layer) can have an appropriate increase in spraying time interval, preferably (24-48 hours)
(3) After the construction is completed, try to avoid strong vibrations and hard impacts within two weeks to ensure the quality of the coating.
(4) In hot and dry weather, it is necessary to wet and maintain the coating surface. The maintenance period is 15 days.

Packaging and Transportation:
1. This product is packaged in woven bags lined with plastic bags, weighing 25kg per bag.
2. This product should be stored in a cool and dry warehouse, with an effective storage period of 6 months.
3. This product is a non flammable, non explosive, non-toxic, and non corrosive safety product. Pay attention to sealing during storage and transportation to prevent moisture and rainwater from entering. Materials that become damp will become ineffective.
4. During transportation, it is necessary to prevent rain, direct sunlight, and hooks, and to comply with the relevant regulations of the transportation department.
